To find out what size you need, wrap a string around the pole to find the circumfrence. Placing the measured string on a ruler, take this figure and divide it by 3.14 to get the diameter, then round the diameter up to the nearest hole size. For example, a diameter of 3-1/4" would round up to a 3-1/2" hole size.
